Brushing in the Background

After I projected my sketch onto the canvas, I used watercolor pencil to draw in the subjects.  Then I blocked in a springy blue and green background.  At this point, the bear's profile is far too skinny, but I will adjust this when I put fur on him.  I blocked in 2 layers of background to make sure I had enough coverage.  I didn't want the canvas peeking through.
