The Pumpkin Patch
Fall is my favorite time of year!
I love the colors and smells, the excitement of the changing of seasons, clothes and foods, the crisp, cooler weather and the promise of the holiday season to come.  After 22 years in Alaska I'd forgotten what a real fall was like.  My first autumn in Prescott was gloriously long and insanely beautiful.  Every day was a colorful journey through God's incredibly creative, ever-changing masterpiece.  I enjoyed every moment.  I started this piece the last week of October after a visit to a local pumpkin farm.  On Halloween day we closed on the house we bought in Arizona, and my life became "Fruit Basket Upset" once again.  I was able to finish this little painting this week after setting up my studio in the corner of my laundry room.
