Since it's a very colorful celebration, Dia de los Muertos naturally incorporates large quantities of flowers. Day of the Dead celebrants use flowers to decorate their cemeteries, themselves, their businesses, their homes, their public places . . . just about everything and everywhere.

When you think about it, a flower is a wondrous symbol of the brief beauty of life. Like people, no two are alike. Like people, they add color to their surroundings. Like people, their sweet aroma and complex design are created to be fully enjoyed for the fleeting moments they are alive.

Meet Flor, #3 in my Dia de los Muertos series.
