COYOTE

COYOTE
I've now reached the half-way mark - Day 15 - of the Leslie Saeta 30-in-30 Painting Challenge. I appreciate all of you who have stayed with me and cheered me on. I've learned so much and grown by leaps and bounds in my art. I can't wait to see what the next 15 days will bring.

Today's painting is a coyote. The first word that comes to mind when describing a coyote is "wily". It's an adjective that suits them perfectly, because they are crafty, cunning and amazingly adept at working together as a pack. We have plenty of coyotes in Arizona. They have a taste for small dogs. One of my friends once saw a coyote jump an 8 foot fence, grab a full-grown dachshund, and leap back over without ever touching the fence.
Needless to say, I keep Mimzy on a short leash whenever coyotes are around.
