Day 7 of the 30-in-30 Challenge. My subject is a prickly pear cactus. These grow all over the place in the Prescott area. When in bloom, their bright yellow, orange and pink blossoms are showy and long-lasting. The flowers turn into fruit that can be made into jelly, although I've not attempted this yet. Often they have big bites out of their paddles from the hungry javelina who don't seem to mind the stickers.
