TALLY IN THE SNOW

TALLY IN THE SNOW
Meet Tally. Tally is a Welsh Corgi. Corgis are a long-bodied short-legged sturdy breed of herding dog. When I met Tally she lived on a lake in Alaska that was frozen and snow-covered almost 8 months of the year. During winter Tally had to deal with popsicle tummy on a daily basis. But as long as she was with her family, she was happy. She learned to appreciate the Alaska finer things in life, like salmon leftovers, cozy wood stoves, and riding in sleds whenever possible. A couple of years ago Tally and her family relocated to a golf course community in sunny Utah. Given her stature challenges, Tally feels like this was a move in the right direction. Although she sometimes misses the Last Frontier, she now appreciates the Utah finer things in life, like shorter winters, warm sunny patios, and adding to her golf ball collection. But she'll always be an Alaskan dog at heart.
