I'm playing catch-up since I'm 2 days behind, so I did a quick watercolor of a subject I want to paint in oil in the future. It's a portrait of my oldest daughter's 2 favorite dolls. Holly and Baby Sue held the most high toy position in her life as confidants, cohorts and companions. They kept her secrets and played her pretend games with the utmost dedication and cooperation until the teenage years carried her away to adulthood. Long forgotten, they reside in the cedar chest, well-loved reminders of how quickly childhood flashes by. For some sentimental reason, I can't bring myself to throw them away. This is painting #14 of Leslie Saeta's 30-in-30.
