COYOTE MOON

COYOTE MOON
Day 11 in Leslie Saeta's 30-Paintings-in-30-Days.
A typical Arizona scene, this coyote is checking in with its pack. Their intricate communication system of yips, howls and barks can be heard back and forth across the acres of woods and meadows that dot our neighborhood. Althought they don't pose too much of a threat to humans, cats and small dogs don't fare well when coyotes are in the vicinity. I'm thinking about taking out life insurance on my dog Mimzy.
