It caught ...This is really quite a lovely painting! It caught my eye INSTANTLY as I was scrolling down Leslie's blog while I was checking to see how much longer I had to submit my own painting, and I just had to see it on your blog "in person". It's so, well, amazingly cool (sorry, but I can't think of a better way to describe it right now as it's almost 12am, but please know I mean this as a great compliment!) and it's really inventive as well. It's hard to pin down exactly what my favorite part of this painting is, as I really just love all of it, but I guess I could narrow it down to your beautifully rendered strokes that are so painterly in nature, the crisp yet cool (in tone this time - lol!) coloring you used in it, and finally the lovely shapes of the leaves to be quite honest.
